C250 Adventure Challenge - Year End Update

I DID IT!  It was a truly incredible year filled with so many adventures and lessons learned. I am very grateful for this opportunity I created for myself.  I will never forget it. When I scroll through social media right now, at times I feel overwhelmed with how abysmal 2020 has been. It has been a rough year for a LOT of people. Even rougher for those who have lost a love one, or suffered the loss of their jobs. I get it and my heart is with those people. Acknowledging pain and adversity is important.  However, out of adversity comes many incredible accomplishments and so many good news stories .    Did you hear in the news that researchers out of Alberta believe they have found a cure for diabetes ?  I didn't. There are a lot of amazing things that have happened this year.  I wish we saw more of that and this is how I tried to present my Challenge year to you in each monthly update. C250 Adventure Challenge - November Update

November has been a very quiet month for my challenge year.  As you know I had a pretty major surgery October 20th, so I have been taking the time to heal.  It is not easy to lay around and do nothing!  Even in my state, my C250 Adventure Challenge was never far from my mind.  Here are a few updates:  November 5th  Even while recovering, I managed to complete the 12-week Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) from the Faculty of Native Studies, Indigenous Canada .  This course was incredibly informative and life changing for me. I finally learned at 50 years old the ACTUAL history of our country which is not taught in our public school system - that needs to change. I also learned that 150+ years later we have such a long ways to go in our endeavour to understand and truly honour the incredibly knowledgeable First People; the true caretakers of this land.  November 11th is of course the day we remember and honour those who gave their lives for our fre...
